Join us for this powerful workshop hosted by Journie and facilitated by Madilyne Harmston and Nashauna Johnson-Lenoir on mental health and wellbeing centering Black and Indigenous People of Color. Free and open to all ages. Please register in advance here on our website. 

* Madilyne Harmston is a licensed independent clinical social worker and a dynamic mental health speaker with a unique perspective shaped by personal experience in the foster care system and adoption. Combining professional expertise with lived experience, Madilyne offers insightful, compassionate talks that resonate deeply with audiences, shedding light on trauma, resilience, and the complexities of mental health. As a dedicated mental health educator, Madilyne is committed to empowering others to navigate their mental health journeys with courage and understanding.

* Nashauna Johnson-Lenoir hails from the inner city and south suburbs of Chicago, Illinois, where she spent her formative years growing up in the foster care system. She is the founder of the Journie Program, aimed at assisting BIPOC youth with cultural programming, advocacy, and equitable access to community resources. She is the author of "8 Steps to Promotion: A Life Skills Guide for Teenage Youth". Her work and dedication to youth and community empowerment has been recognized by Rochester Women's Magazine and Multiplying Good in NYC among others. Nashauna's is a graduate of Rochester's ULEAD program and completed Nexus's Black Leadership Fellows program in 2024. Currently studying Sociology and Social Work at RCTC, Nashauna balances her academic endeavors with her roles as a mother of six, a motivational speaker, and an enthusiast of astrology, reading, and ancient history.
